I n this instance the matrimonial bed was what we used as a kitchen ‘midden’ - somewhere we dumped vegetable peelings etc en route to the compost bins. [We now use a smaller container on top of the wall.] Hedgehogs generally give it an inspection on the off-chance they find a tasty invertebrate snacking on the detritus. As for ‘Clara’, she seemed pretty indifferent to the whole performance.
